Job Posting: Assistant Manager/Tobacconist - Cigar Lounge

 

Location: Sunrise, FL

 

Are you a passionate tobacconist with a deep understanding of cigars and a knack for providing exceptional customer service? Join our team at The Burnt Leaf Lounge in Sunrise, FL, where we offer an unparalleled experience to cigar enthusiasts. We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to fill the role of Assistant Manager/Tobacconist.

 

Position Type: Full-time, Permanent

 

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 11:30AM-7:30PM, with rotating weekends

 

Requirements:

  • A good understanding of different types of cigars, including their flavors, origins, and manufacturing processes

  • Strong customer service skills for assisting customers with selections, providing recommendations, and answering questions

  • Ability to upsell and cross-sell products using effective sales techniques

  • Effective communication skills for interacting with customers, colleagues, and suppliers

  • Knowledge of humidor maintenance, including humidity control and cigar rotation

  • Familiarity with cigar accessories, tobacco pipes, and related products

  • Detail-oriented for tasks like inventory management and transaction accuracy

  • Genuine passion for cigars and the surrounding culture

  • Collaboration skills for maintaining a positive work environment and providing excellent service

  • Ability to address customer concerns and resolve issues effectively

  • Must be 21 years or older

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing daily operations, including sales, inventory management, and customer service

  • Work as part of a team to organize and merchandise the lounge, including stocking and staging products

  • Use POS system and handle payments accurately

  • Display merchandise effectively on shelves, counters, racks, and tables

  • Serve beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages as a bar back

  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the shop and humidor
