This cigar is part of La Aurora’s “Small Batch” series — limited‑edition cigars exclusively made for the Burnt Leaf Cigar lounge carefully blended and aged by the company’s master blender Manuel Inoa.

 Key Features

Size / Shape: 4.5 inches by 60 ring gauge (sometimes listed as 4 1/2 x 38/60, “Ambassador” BOX of 10 figurado shape).

  • Wrapper / Binder / Filler / Rope: Wrapper and binder are Nicaraguan; filler is a blend from Pennsylvania, Dominican Republic, and Nicaragua. A distinctive feature is a rope of Mexican San Andrés tobacco wrapped around the cigar — this rope is not just decorative: it is intended to be smoked along with the rest, adding flavor.
  • Aging: The cigars are aged and this Lot 006 is said to have been aging for 14 years. Some of the filler leaves in the Small Batch series have reportedly been aged up to 19 years.
  • Production Limits: Extremely limited run — only 100 boxes of 10 cigars each (1,000 cigars total) were produced.

 Flavor / Smoking Experience

Reviews and descriptions note that the San Andrés rope adds a layer of peppery spice and sweetness to the smoke, giving it a complex and nuanced profile.

According to a retailer description, expect bold, full‑bodied character, with flavor notes like baking spice, dark chocolate, espresso, cedar, and hints of creamy root‑beer and hazelnut.

The cigar strength is usually classified as medium‑to‑full.

Why It’s Special

  • The rope‑wrapped construction is unusual even for premium cigar makers — it’s rare to see something designed to be smoked with a tobacco rope around the wrapper.
  • The age of the tobacco and small production numbers make it more of a collector’s or connoisseur’s cigar rather than a mass‑market line.
  • It represents a special project by Manuel Inoa drawing from long‑aged tobaccos — each Small Batch release is different and somewhat experimental.
