Flavor Profile

First Third: Rich cocoa, dark coffee, cedar, and a subtle sweetness. The Maduro wrapper immediately gives the 858 a deeper, darker character than the Natural.

Second Third: Espresso and dark chocolate become more pronounced, joined by roasted nuts, earth, and a touch of baking spice. The sweetness remains in the background and keeps the profile balanced.

Final Third: The cigar gets richer and more intense with dark chocolate, espresso, earth, and black pepper. The finish is long, warm, and slightly sweet, with the Maduro wrapper really showing its character.

Construction & Burn

Excellent traditional Fuente construction. The draw is generally firm but open enough to produce a satisfying amount of smoke. The burn is typically steady, with a solid ash and good heat management.

Overall Experience

The 858 Maduro takes everything that makes the classic 858 enjoyable and adds considerably more depth. Compared with the Natural, this version brings more cocoa, coffee, earth, sweetness, and spice, while remaining approachable.

It is a great choice when you want the classic Fuente experience but with a darker, richer profile.
