The Experience
The Meadowlark is a limited Short Run release and Blackbird’s first cigar featuring a Brazilian Arapiraca wrapper. It’s an interesting take on the leaf, delivering earth, nuts, spice and sweetness without becoming an overpowering cigar.
First Third
The opening brings earthy tobacco, cedar and gentle spice. Brown sugar sweetness starts to develop alongside cinnamon, nutmeg and clove. There is also a subtle pepper sensation, particularly through the retrohale.
Second Third
This is where the Meadowlark really opens up. The earthy character becomes richer and more savory, with Brazil nuts, malt, cedar and brown sugar developing together. Vanilla and baking spices add another layer while the cigar maintains a smooth, medium-bodied character.
Final Third
The final third moves toward tangy cedar, light roast coffee, cream and vanilla. As the cigar gets closer to the end, the pepper and roasted tobacco become more noticeable, creating a drier and more intense finish.
Construction & Burn
The Meadowlark is handmade with long-filler tobacco at Blackbird Dominicana. The 6 × 52 Toro offers a leisurely smoking experience, and reviews have generally reported strong construction, good smoke production and a consistent burn.
Overall Experience
The Blackbird Meadowlark is a different side of Brazilian Arapiraca. Instead of simply delivering a heavy, dark Maduro experience, it brings earth, brown sugar, baking spice, nuts, coffee and vanilla into the mix.

- Brazilian Arapiraca wrapper gives it a distinctive identity.

Burnt Leaf Insight
The Meadowlark is one of those cigars that rewards patience. The Arapiraca wrapper gives it a unique personality, but it’s the combination of brown sugar, earth, baking spice, nuts and coffee that makes this one interesting.
The sweet spot is right in the middle of the cigar. That’s where the Meadowlark really comes alive.
