Caldwell Forbidden Fruit 6 x 60

Wrapper/Binder/Filler/Factory:
Wrapper: Rosado (Claro) or Maduro (Oscuro)
Binder: Dominican Republic
Filler: Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, Sumatra (blend varies by release)
Factory: Tabacalera Mina del Rey, Dominican Republic

Strength/Body:
Medium to Full (Oscuro slightly fuller, Claro more medium)

Flavor Profile:

Claro (Rosado):
Baking spice, cedar, light cream, gentle sweetness, soft pepper on the retrohale. The profile stays bright, balanced, and smooth with a cleaner finish.

Oscuro (Maduro):
Espresso, dark chocolate, cocoa, molasses sweetness, and subtle earth. Richer and deeper with more weight and a longer finish on the palate.

Construction & Burn:
The 6 x 60 vitola is designed to burn cool and slow, allowing the blend to open gradually. Draw is typically open with consistent smoke production. Burn line holds steady with minor touch-ups occasionally needed due to the larger ring gauge and blend oils.

Overall Experience:
This cigar is built for a slow session rather than a quick smoke. The large ring gauge softens transitions and allows the blend to evolve in waves instead of sharp shifts. The Claro feels more expressive and aromatic, while the Oscuro leans dense, sweet, and darker in tone. Both versions reward patience and a relaxed pace.

Burnt Leaf Insight:
This is one of those cigars where the size is not just a gimmick, it actually changes the experience. In a 6 x 60, Caldwell leans into smoothness and balance, letting the blend open up instead of hitting sharp transitions. The smoke stays cool, slow, and layered, with the Oscuro pushing deeper richness and the Claro staying more expressive and spicy. It is not built for quick smoking or casual pacing, it rewards patience. When you slow it down, the complexity starts showing itself in waves instead of linear notes.
