Body: Medium to Full

Flavor Profile:
This lancero leads with a refined mix of dark chocolate, espresso, and earth right off the light. The San Andrés wrapper plays a major role here, delivering a rich, slightly sweet profile with a peppery edge. As it develops, notes of leather, baking spice, and a subtle creaminess come through, giving it balance despite the darker profile. The thinner ring gauge really amplifies the wrapper, making the flavors more focused and pronounced throughout the smoke.

Construction & Burn:
Box-pressed with a long, elegant lancero shape, this cigar is well constructed with a firm pack. The draw is surprisingly open for the size, producing a steady, flavorful smoke output. Burn line is generally even with a solid ash, and the format encourages a slower, more controlled burn.

Overall Experience:
The Cohiba Riviera Lancero is a more refined, flavor-focused version of the Riviera blend. The lancero format elevates the wrapper’s influence, making it a more nuanced and concentrated smoking experience compared to the larger vitolas. It’s a step up in sophistication within the line.

Burnt Leaf Insight:
This is one for experienced smokers who appreciate a lancero. It’s not about power, it’s about precision. Pair it with espresso or a dark rum and take your time, this size rewards slow smoking and attention to detail.
