Crowned Heads Jericho Hill Willy Lee
The Story
Jericho Hill is Crowned Heads’ tribute to Johnny Cash and his legendary live performance of Cocaine Blues from the 1968 album At Folsom Prison.
The story follows Willy Lee, the outlaw at the center of the song, whose journey eventually brings him face to face with the sheriff from Jericho Hill.
The cigar carries that same dark, rebellious spirit. Each vitola in the Jericho Hill collection takes its name from the characters, lyrics, and imagery associated with Cash’s performance.
Willy Lee is the largest format in the collection, giving the blend plenty of room to develop from beginning to end.
The Blend
The Willy Lee combines a dark, oily Mexican San Andrés Maduro wrapper with Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos.
Handcrafted at My Father Cigars in Estelí, Nicaragua, the 6 x 54 Toro is lightly box pressed and delivers a medium to full-bodied smoking experience with increasing intensity as the cigar progresses.

The Experience
Willy Lee opens with a combination of pepper, earth, leather, and natural sweetness. The dark San Andrés wrapper brings a rich character to the blend while the Nicaraguan core adds spice and depth.
As the cigar develops, espresso and cocoa become more prominent, accompanied by leather, cedar, earth, and a subtle molasses-like sweetness.
The profile gradually becomes fuller and more intense without losing the smoothness that makes the blend enjoyable.
First Third
The opening brings pepper, earth, leather, and a touch of sweetness. Cocoa begins to develop underneath the initial spice, creating a dark and immediately flavorful introduction.
Second Third
The cigar settles into a richer profile of espresso, cocoa, leather, cedar, and earth. The pepper remains present but becomes more integrated into the overall blend.
Final Third
The final third turns deeper and fuller, with espresso, leather, earth, cocoa, and spice taking center stage. The smoke finishes with a long, rich tobacco character.
Construction & Burn
The 6 x 54 Willy Lee is lightly box pressed, with a substantial feel and enough size to allow the blend to develop gradually. The cigar is handmade with Nicaraguan long-filler tobacco at My Father Cigars in Estelí.
Overall Experience
Jericho Hill Willy Lee is a cigar with attitude.
The combination of Mexican San Andrés Maduro and Nicaraguan tobacco creates a profile built around dark sweetness, espresso, cocoa, leather, earth, and spice. The larger Toro format gives those flavors plenty of time to evolve.
Why It Stands Out
The Willy Lee is more than just the largest vitola in the Jericho Hill collection. Its 6 x 54 format gives the blend additional room to breathe and develop, making it a measured expression of the cigar’s dark and powerful character.
The connection to Johnny Cash gives the cigar an identity that goes beyond the tobacco itself, with every part of the Jericho Hill collection tied back to the story behind Cocaine Blues.
