Flavor Profile
This cigar opens with a bold mix of pepper, dark fruit, and espresso, immediately giving it a richer and more intense presence than most Caldwell offerings. There’s a noticeable sweetness underneath—more like raisin or dried cherry—balanced by earth and cocoa.
As it moves into the middle, the profile rounds out with notes of dark chocolate, cedar, and a creamy texture that smooths the edges of the spice. The retrohale carries a steady pepper with a slightly tangy, almost wine-like acidity.
The final third leans deeper into earth, roasted coffee, and a lingering dark sweetness, with the spice becoming more integrated rather than sharp.
Construction & Burn
Typical of Tabacalera William Ventura production, construction is reliable with a firm pack and consistent draw. Burn line is generally even, and the cigar produces a dense, rich smoke output. It performs well without much need for correction.
Overall Experience
This is one of Caldwell’s more “evening-style” cigars—richer, darker, and more layered than their lighter, quirky blends. It’s not overpowering, but it carries enough body and depth to feel substantial.
Burnt Leaf Insight
“One Night Stand” sits in that sweet spot between bold and refined. It brings more intensity and darker flavors than Caldwell’s usual profile, making it a solid choice when you want something with presence—but still smooth enough to stay controlled from start to finish.
