The Colorado Claro wrapper is grown in Jalapa, and the blend was slightly adjusted from the original Alma Fuerte to complement the lighter wrapper.
Flavor Profile
First Third
The opening is immediately earthy and roasted, with espresso/coffee, leather and wood establishing the foundation. A touch of black pepper adds energy without dominating the cigar.
There is also an interesting vegetal character underneath the coffee and earth, giving the opening more complexity than the appearance of the cigar might suggest.
Second Third
This is where the Sixto I really starts to come together.
Coffee, leather and wood remain prominent, while hazelnut/almond sweetness begins to emerge. Black pepper becomes more noticeable, and the retrohale introduces a beautiful cinnamon spice.
