Tatuaje Cojonu 2012
(the original version)
Flavor Notes:
Bold pepper spice, earthy richness, cocoa, leather, roasted coffee, slight natural sweetness. Strong Cuban-style influence.
Background:
The “Cojonu” line (Cojonu meaning “ballsy” in Cuban slang) was started by Pete Johnson (Tatuaje founder) as a special, stronger blend made every few years (2003, 2006, 2009, 2012, etc.).
The 2012 was unique because it was originally made available in three different wrappers:
The standard Cojonu 2012 — the one you’re asking about — has the Ecuadorian Habano wrapper.
It delivers a classic Tatuaje profile: deep spice, earth, pepper, and bold tobacco flavor, rolled with precision at the García family’s My Father factory in Nicaragua.
