• The Machinist is a newer line from Luciano Cigars / Constella Group introduced at PCA 2025.  
• The Gordo vitola measures 6″ × 60. 
• It is produced in an undisclosed factory in the Dominican Republic.  

 Blend & Flavor Profile

Wrapper: Mexican San Andrés (viso priming) 

Binder: Dual binder — Ecuadorian Sumatra viso + Indonesian Sumatra 

Filler: A blend including tobacco from Pennsylvania, the Dominican Republic, and South Africa 

Tasting Notes & Strength (from reviewer impressions):

• Medium to medium-full strength.  
• Early on: pepper on retrohale, earthiness, creamy notes, subtle sweetness, cocoa hints.  
• Middle: deeper spice, roasted nuts, some leather or cedar, more pronounced earthy tones.  
• Final third: earth, pepper linger, backing notes of leather and continued complexity.  

One reviewer specifically tried the Toro, but the blend and behavior are expected to be similar (though the larger Gordo may mellow some spice and emphasize body)  .
