Strength & Body
Medium-Full
A cigar that starts with some authority but doesn’t overwhelm the palate. The body stays rich and dense, with the strength building into the second half.
Flavor Profile
First Third
Dark chocolate, earth, cedar and a noticeable burst of black pepper. The San Andrés wrapper immediately makes its presence known, but the pepper settles fairly quickly.
Second Third
The chocolate and coffee notes become more pronounced, joined by leather and toasted tobacco. Pepper remains in the background, giving the cigar some backbone without dominating.
Final Third
Rich espresso and dark chocolate lead the way, with earth, cedar, leather and a subtle dark-fruit sweetness. The smoke gets deeper and fuller as it approaches the nub.
Construction & Burn
Excellent construction with a firm, well-rolled feel. The Toro produces generous smoke and generally delivers a clean, consistent burn. The box-pressed presentation gives it a distinctive feel in the hand.
Overall Experience
The Trinidad Espiritu No. 3 is a bold interpretation of the Trinidad name, built around Mexican San Andrés and Nicaraguan tobacco. It’s rich, dark and flavorful without becoming overly aggressive. The combination of chocolate, coffee, pepper and earth makes this a very satisfying medium-full-bodied smoke.
Burnt Leaf Insight
This is a cigar for the smoker who likes dark, rich flavors but still wants balance. The San Andrés wrapper and AJ Fernandez Nicaraguan core work extremely well together. It’s complex enough to keep your attention but approachable enough to enjoy without having to overthink it.
Burnt Leaf Rating
9.0 / 10
A seriously good Toro. Dark, rich, balanced and loaded with flavor.
